Privacy policy
Short version: we only ask for what we need to help you with a pest problem, we do not sell or pass your details to anyone for marketing, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. The details you give us
Our quote form asks for your name, phone number, postcode, the pest you need help with, and optionally your email and a description of the problem. If you phone us we may note the same things. We use them to answer you, to arrange and carry out a visit, and to keep a record of any work we do. In legal terms this is processing needed to take steps at your request before a contract and then to perform it.
The form is handled by a small function hosted on Vercel, which emails your message to us. It also records which page you were on when you sent it, so we know whether you were reading about mice or wasps.
Website measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It is loaded only after you start interacting with a page (or a few seconds after it has fully loaded) and runs with analytics storage switched off, so it does not set analytics cookies unless that setting is changed. We look at totals, not individuals. Our basis is our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
Hosting logs
Like every website, ours is served by a hosting company (Vercel) that keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the service secure.
Sharing
Your details go to the services needed to deliver your message and run the site: our hosting provider and our email provider. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Keeping it
Enquiries that do not turn into a job are deleted within 12 months. Where we do carry out work, the record of that work, including what was used and where, is kept for six years in case of warranty, insurance or legal questions.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email info@manchesterpestsolutions.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add something that needs your consent, we will ask first.
